Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the effect of the Doctors For LifeAIDS program on the knowledge, attitudes and sexual practices of mine workers concerning HIV/AIDS. A before and after intervention study was done at the President Steyn Mine during 1997. The components of the Doctors for LifeAIDS program in use at the mine at the time of testing were posters and a video.
